What are the packaging materials?

  Compressed air sheet

It is a kind of packaging material, that is, air bubbles are sealed between two polyethylene sheets. This closure is cushioned by bubbles to achieve seismic effect. Compressed air sheet can provide excellent cushioning and good flexibility for light-weight items, and can package any shape or standard products after trade-off. However, it is not suitable for packaging heavy products. When using compressed air sheet, please use multi-layer packaging to ensure that the whole product (including edges and corners) is protected.

  Polyethylene foam sheet

Foam sheet material is light, soft and elastic, with excellent appearance protection and cushioning characteristics. It is an ideal choice for light goods protection.

  Inflatable bag

The inflatable bag uses air pressure to fix the product in the transport container to form an air cushion with cushioning function. However, in the point climate environment, the air pressure value in the bag will be negatively affected. In cold conditions, the amount of air will be reduced, resulting in more free space in the package, and the product is more likely to be damaged. Under hot conditions, the air bag will swell and exert pressure on the joints of the transport container. Changes in altitude also affect the amount of air in the air bag. Transporting from high-altitude areas to low-altitude areas (e.g., packaging shipments in Denver, Colorado, and then shipping to New Orleans and Louisiana) will reduce the air bag standard, and transporting from low-altitude areas to high-altitude areas will increase the air bag volume.

  Foam / foam filling bags

In situ foaming / foam filling bags are made of chemical mixtures, which can expand and form protective layers around objects. In situ foaming can form a model around the product to support corners, protect edges and buffer. In order to achieve the effect, the on-site foaming must be evenly distributed around the article. Otherwise, the foam will not protect the product. To satisfy the needs of packing, please select the foam with proper density, and fill it from vacant to cushion.

  Kraft paper

Kraft paper (not newspaper or newsprint) can be used to wrap articles, and kraft paper can also be wrinkled to fill the empty space of packages (containing light or medium-sized non fragile articles). When using kraft paper, the kraft paper shall be tightly filled between and around the goods, and the filler shall be at least 2 inches (5.08 cm). Please ensure that the six sides of the packing box are filled with at least 2 inches (5.08 cm) kraft paper.

  Paper buffer

Multilayer paper (not newspaper or newsprint) is an ideal filler, especially suitable for packaging medium and large non fragile articles and articles requiring moisture absorption. Paper buffer is very suitable for filling the empty space.

  Expanded polystyrene foam (EPS)

EPS can be molded with light weight, low cost and buffering ability. EPS is usually planned as rib type, which will shrink and return to its original shape when encountering impact. Its elasticity is less than that of other polymerized foams, such as polyethylene and polyurethane. EPS is applicable to non fragile shipments.

  Polyethylene foam (PE)

PE is a kind of foam plastics. Molded or assembled PE has excellent impact and vibration resistance. It is a suitable choice to provide buffer for high-value or fragile articles.

  Polyurethane foam (PU)

Polyurethane is an elastic foam with excellent impact absorption and shape recovery ability. It is more suitable for light goods because of its light weight and elasticity.

  Corrugated board

Two or more layers of single wall or double wall corrugated board are bonded together to become a spacer or liner. These pads can form a protective layer between the product and the container. Corrugated liners are used for heavy, semi fragile or non fragile products. Corrugated boards can be made into pallets, liners, baffles and other package accessories to provide cushioning for semi fragile or non fragile products and increase the integrity of transport containers.
